Manhart introduces carbon fiber trim for refreshed BMW X5M and X6M in German tuning house.
For many years, Manhart has been utilizing their skills in tuning and styling to enhance the performance vehicles of BMW and other car manufacturers. Their latest focus has been on the newly updated models of the BMW X5 M and X6 M, which are known for their high-performance capabilities. By offering a range of carbon fiber accessories, Manhart has taken these highly sought-after family SUVs to the next level with added flair and attitude.
Even though the F95-chassis X5 M and F96-chassis X6 M have already offered various carbon parts, the 2024 model year (unveiled in early 2023) brought about subtle changes to the appearance of these fast SUVs. This update, referred to as a Life Cycle Impulse or LCI by BMW, featured slimmer headlights and more intricately designed twin-kidney grilles on the front of the X5M and X6M, as well as new taillights and other exterior details. Consequently, Manhart had to modify their trademark carbon fiber trim components to adapt to the revised design.
The range of carbon trim options for the X5 M and X6 M LCI consists of front bumper embellishments, front spoilers, mirror covers, and rear bumper exhaust surrounds. Additionally, the 2020 and newer models, prior to the facelift F95 and F96, can also be fitted with various carbon parts. These include a carbon fiber hood, side skirts, and rear spoilers. Most of these extra trim pieces can be easily installed using the original fasteners, allowing for easy removal without any damage. This is especially beneficial for leased vehicles, as the owner can restore the car to its factory appearance before returning it at the end of the lease period.
Manhart presents a selection of two distinct finishes for these trim pieces. The commonly recognized carbon fiber weave remains a top favorite among customers. Furthermore, an alternative forged carbon finish, composed of chopped and pressed carbon fibers shaped into a unique surface pattern, is also offered. The forged carbon finish often resembles a digital camouflage design, adding a special touch to any SUV model.
Naturally, the 2024 models of the BMW X5 M and X6 M are already among the most sought-after performance SUVs in existence. Sporting a 617-horsepower output thanks to a new mild-hybrid 48-volt system added to the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and all-wheel drive configuration, these vehicles are undeniably fast. They strike a perfect balance between high-performance and lavish opulence. And now, with the addition of Manhart’s high-quality German carbon fiber design, the X5 M and X6 M are elevated to an enhanced level of exclusivity.
