Spice Up Your Delivery Experience: Who Said It Had to Be Dull?
Ford Pro has recently unveiled what could easily be considered the most impressive Transit to date – except for the exceptional Supervan, of course. This here is the modified MS-RT Transit Custom, a typical and unassuming commercial van that has been transformed into a highly sought-after vehicle through various enhancements.
One noticeable modification is the latest customized body kit, featuring sizeable inlets on the front bumper, accompanied by a splitter and an athletic grille. Additionally, broader flares grace each corner, along with fresh side panels, a novel diffuser, and deceptive vents situated behind both front wheels. Drawing upon computer software, MS-RT strategically fashioned an advantageous rear spoiler. Remarkably, they even devised a unique split model specifically for vans equipped with cargo doors. Moreover, individuals selecting the electric model will receive an LED light strip between the headlights, setting it apart from all other versions.
At the time of its release, a variety of distinct exterior hues (such as Lemon Lime, Rich Yellow, Dynamic Orange, Deep Blue, Vibrant Purple, and Racing Blue) will be made available.
The MS-RT variant comes in three options: EV, PHEV, or diesel. Its fully electric version boasts the strongest performance, delivering 282 horsepower to the rear wheels, making it the most powerful Transit Custom model. Depending on the selected drive mode, the horsepower is restricted. When driving in Normal or Eco mode, the EV provides 215 and 134 hp, respectively.
The hybrid plug-in combines a 2.5-liter motor and an 11.8 kWh battery to deliver 229 horsepower, while the diesel option boasts a lower output of up to 167 hp and is equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This model also offers all-wheel drive. For those who prefer a front-wheel drive, there is a version with a six-speed manual that produces 148 horsepower.
Regardless of the type of engine, all MS-RT vehicles are expected to provide better handling compared to their original versions. The 19-inch Transit Custom Sport wheels decrease the weight on each corner by more than 2 pounds and widen the track width by 1.96 inches. Additionally, the blue brake calipers add a touch of thrill to the appearance.
In the interior, the Transit Custom MS-RT is far from being a typical commercial vehicle. The inside has been given a stylish upgrade, featuring new front seats that provide extra support due to their added side bolsters, ensuring a more comfortable experience on longer trips. These seats have been adorned with faux leather and suede, accented by sporty blue stitching and branding from MS-RT. Additionally, a sporty steering wheel complete with a 12 o’clock marker adorns the cabin.
Some of the key options that come standard in this model are double-area weather control, a modern back-up camera, speed control, and parking assist at both the front and back ends. When set up as a van, there are three seats in the initial row, consisting of one seat for the driver and two for passengers. The crew cab variant is equipped with two luxurious captain’s chairs in the front and a classic bench in the back with enough room for three people.
Loder1899 has recently unveiled a new tuning option for the Transit, providing those who seek a more dynamic appearance with an alternative to consider. The package includes a striking body kit that dramatically alters the uninspiring van into a compelling and attention-grabbing vehicle. If the current design fails to impress, this revamped version may just do the trick.
