463 HP SUV: Above the Base Model
Although Porsche is well-known for its sports models, like the 911 and Boxster, it turns out its SUV’s are actually its best-selling vehicles. In this video, AutoTopNL demonstrates just how capable the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is.
It is evident that this is not the state-of-the-art Cayenne S E-Hybird (illustrated below), but an earlier model. Instead of 512 hp, this one produces a total of 463 horsepower. The powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 along with an electric motor. According to its specifications, this car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds.
In the clip, an instrumented rate acceleration occurs. The Cayenne takes 4.97 and 5.02 seconds to reach 62 mph during two separate sprints. Furthermore, 13.05 seconds are necessary for it to traverse a quarter-mile track and 18.41 seconds so that it can grade 124 mph (200 kph) in the half-mile competition.
On the Autobahn, the operator is able to take the Cayenne E-Hybrid up to an implied 260 kph (162 mph). He successfully amps up to this rate on multiple occasions.
The latest iteration of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid has now been brought into the limelight, lying between the base version and its Turbo variant in the lineup. It is fitted with a 25.9-kWh battery and embeds a standard two-chamber two-valve air suspension. The SUV’s interior carries eight-way power front seats and is complemented with the added benefit of Sport Chrono Package.
The most recent Cayenne S E-Hybrid has a starting price of $103,400 once the $1,650 destination fee has been paid. The Coupe model will set you back an additional $4,000, with a grand total of $107,400. Shipping for both editions in America is scheduled to commence in the upcoming springtime.
The all-new 2024 Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has been recently updated, and packs a punch. Its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 provides an astonishing 729 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. It comes equipped with standard Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, while Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear-axle steering are available as additional options. This superior model can be acquired for either $148,550, or $153,050 if you opt for the coupe variant.
