Purchase a Preconfigured Polestar 2: Limited Stock Available

If you’re considering purchasing a 2024 Polestar 2, unfortunately we have some disappointing news. The Swedish car company has ceased accepting fresh factory requests for their affordable electric SUV, citing overwhelming popularity.

When accessing the Polestar 2 configurator, you’ll be greeted with the phrase “cookie-cutter configuration not available”. Essentially, this indicates that personal customization options are not available.

A spokesperson from Polestar has officially confirmed the reports to CarsDirect, though they did not specify a specific date for when orders will resume. Nonetheless, if you do not have a strong preference for a specific exterior color and wheel pairing, there are multiple pre-designed units currently in stock at Polestar.

Polestar Columbus, located in Ohio, boasts a wide selection of more than 100 units available for purchase. Delivery dates for these units range from “Immediate” to “Late in May,” as an example. Customers can choose from both the Long Range Dual-Motor AWD, with an EPA rating of 276 miles, and the Long Range Single-Motor RWD, with a range of 320 miles. Prices for these units vary depending on the trim level and added options, with starting prices for the 2024 model year at just under $50,000 and increasing to approximately $60,000.

The Polestar 2, equipped with a Long Range Dual-Motor AWD system, boasts an impressive total power of 420 horsepower and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. On the other hand, the Single-Motor RWD variation, also equipped with the Long Range setup, delivers a decent amount of 299 hp and can achieve a 60 mph speed in 5.9 seconds.

When it comes to costs, Polestar is currently offering a highly appealing deal for the 2024 model year’s Long Range Dual Motor trim, even though it does not qualify for the federal EV tax credit. The highest-tier option, the 2, can still benefit from the Polestar Clean Vehicle Incentive. This incentive amounts to $7,500 and is also available for the Long Range Single Motor, although the value is reduced to only $2,100 for this particular option.

You have the opportunity to purchase a Polestar 2 Long Range Dual-Motor AWD at the cost of an RWD model, making this a highly advantageous offer.

Despite the specific trim level, opting for a lease still yields a Clean Vehicle Credit of $7,500 from the government.
