Sleek 2024 Mercedes CLE Coupe Comes at a Cost, But it’s Worth the Look

Arriving in America: Lavish Coupe Boasts Impressive Features

Mercedes-Benz USA recently revealed the cost and details for the 2024 CLE-Class Coupe, the newest midsize luxury coupe from Stuttgart. This model serves as a suitable substitute for both the C-Class Coupe and E-Class Coupe. In the American market, there will be two engine options available: the 300 4Matic and the 450 4Matic. Buyers will have the choice between two trim levels, each offering a remarkable range of standard features.

The starting cost for the CLE300 4Matic in Standard configuration is $56,500. However, do not let the trim label deceive you – the entry-level model is far from basic. Customers will be delighted to find a state-of-the-art Burmester 3D Surround Sound System that features music streaming and customizable sound settings. Additionally, the driver’s seat headrest boasts built-in speakers for an ultra-immersive audio journey.

The third-generation MBUX operating system enhances the infotainment system. It boasts a 12.3-inch display for the driver, strategically placed behind the dynamic steering wheel. This system also features an 11.9-inch touchscreen at the center, which allows for convenient control of multiple functions such as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Additional options present on this vehicle consist of a wireless charging station, assistance for blind spots, and a sunroof that covers a wider area. The Standard version of the CLE450 4Matic comes with a higher cost of $65,650.

Are you more interested in luxurious features rather than top-notch performance? You might consider saving a significant amount of money by choosing the CLE300 Coupe Pinnacle trim priced at $59,100. This deluxe tier offers everything included in the Standard trim, along with additional upgrades such as a head-up display, MBUX entertainment plus, augmented reality for navigation, a parking package with a 360-degree camera, and Mercedes’ Digital Light system featuring projections.

The Pinnacle models come equipped with the Guard 360 system, offering an added level of security. This feature includes a picture feature to capture evidence against car thieves and drivers involved in hit-and-runs. With the exception of the convertible and high-performance AMG variations which are still in development, the CLE450 Coupe Pinnacle is the priciest option with a cost of $68,250.

The CLE450 models now come equipped with the AMG Line package as a standard feature, giving the six-cylinder variants a bolder and more dynamic look.

The 300 derivative can now be fitted with an AMG Line package, which features larger front brake discs and a tailpipe trim element for the rear bumper. The exhaust system has also been improved.

Customers also have the option to select the Night Package, with a variety of exterior shades and wheels up to 20 inches. The vehicle also offers advanced driver assistance systems such as active brake support, blind spot monitoring, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist, among others. Additionally, for increased safety measures, the Driver Assistance Package can include additional features. Moreover, the car comes in four Manufaktur shades, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.

In order to refresh your memory, the CLE300 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter motor that generates 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the 450 model boasts a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 375 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both variants feature mild-hybrid technology and are teamed with nine-speed automatic transmissions.

The CLE presents itself as a promising all-in-one deal, but it will not dominate the market alone as BMW is launching a revamped 4 Series Coupe.
