And now it has arrived – the Abarth 600e, the most potent vehicle to ever come from the enduring Italian brand.
Abarth recently announced the release of their newest model, the 600e. While they did not reveal many specifics, they did confirm that the electric vehicle boasts an impressive 240 horsepower. This marks a substantial increase of 85 horsepower compared to their smaller Abarth 500e which only has 155 horsepower. The debut of the Abarth 600e will feature a special limited edition known as the Scorpionissima, featuring an eye-catching coat of Hypersonic Purple paint. In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the company’s establishment, Abarth plans to produce only 1,949 units of the 600e Scoprionissima.
One of the main enhancements is the installation of broader tires on 20-inch rims, along with a strengthened braking mechanism and a mechanical limited-slip differential. Staying true to the extravagant Abarth style, a prominent “Abarth” decal can be found above the side sills, while the front fender boasts a striking neon-green-accented scorpion logo.
This is not the initial Abarth Seicento, however. During the 1950s and 1960s when Abarth was an individualized company specializing in tuning and racing, it utilized the original Fiat 600 as a foundation for various intriguing designs. A few featured altered 600 structures with bigger motors, while others, such as the Fiat-Abarth 750, showcased streamlined bodywork from Zagato.
Despite its impressive design, the recently unveiled Abarth 600e will unfortunately not be available in the United States. Despite the fact that Fiat has decided to release the 500e EV in this market, they have not yet disclosed any intentions of introducing the 600e in the same way.
