75 Years of the Scorpion: Abarth 695 75° Anniversario Edition

Exclusive 1,368 cc T-Jet Engine: Limited Production of 1,368 Units

To commemorate its 75th anniversary, Abarth is introducing the newest addition to its lineup – the special edition 695 75° Anniversario. This puts them in the same esteemed group as renowned companies such as Ferrari and Porsche, who have also reached the milestone of 75 years in business.

The vehicle is a tribute to the Scorpion company established by Carlo Abarth on March 31, 1949. Only 1,368 units are planned for manufacturing, in honor of the famous 1.4 T-Jet motor, boasting a displacement of 1,368 cubic centimeters.

The motor is commonly found in vehicles such as the current Jeep Renegade and Fiat Abarth 124 Spider, a compact two-seater that was previously available in North America and is built upon the foundation of the Mazda MX-5 Miata.

While the American market only offers the 500 series, Europe boasts the 595 and 695. An exclusive version of the 695, known as the anniversary edition, is equipped with a T-Jet engine and a Garrett GT 1446 turbocharger, producing an impressive 180 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The performance credentials are equally remarkable, with the capability of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in just 6.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 225 km/h (139.8 mph).

The presentation is additionally highlighted by exterior features such as the Record Monza exhaust system equipped with an active valve, Koni FSD shock absorbers, and ventilated and perforated disc brakes contained within Brembo aluminum calipers. Additional exterior components consist of 17-inch gold alloy wheels and a unique design featuring original 75° Anniversario decals and a scorpion emblem adorning the entire roof (a first for this model).

Riders are greeted by a slick Alcantara dashboard and fresh Sabelt carbon seats, along with Alcantara accents that infuse a sense of athleticism. The interior also boasts a seven-inch DAB radio, a seven-inch TFT digital screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as standard features.

The latest version of the Abarth 695, known as the 75° Anniversario edition, continues the legacy of the previous 70° Anniversario edition released in 2019. This exclusive series consisted of a limited production of 1,949 units, paying tribute to the year in which the renowned brand was established.

In contrast to the recently introduced Abarth 600e, the exclusive 695 model will not be making its way to the American market. However, in the United Kingdom, the Abarth 695 75° Anniversario special edition carries a price tag of £32,895 (equivalent to $41,514 in today’s exchange rate).
