Hellcat vs C8 Corvette

As night falls over Las Vegas, the two juggernauts of American muscle arrive at The Strip at the famous Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Bathed in a brilliant flood of light, one car is a menacing Octane Red Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 717 horsepower and 656 lb-ft of torque from its thunderous supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. In the opposing lane is the sleek, red C8 Stingray Corvette offering 490 hp from its impressive 6.2-liter V8 motor.

As the vehicles cruise through the burnout zone, it’s readily apparent that Dodge isn’t providing a satisfactory tire spin. This can result in inadequate grip at launch, essentially relinquishing any competitive advantage.

As the course commences, the results are apparent. The Vette takes up a spot of superiority that the Challenger SRT Hellcat is unable to close the gap on, in spite of the operator’s strongest campaign. The Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray records an incredible time-frame of 12.23 seconds and reaches a cap of 111 mph. Conversely, the Challenger only achieves 12.65 seconds along with a peak of 116 mph. This case clearly displays the value of possessing a good initial run in a quarter mile race.

The operator of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is resolute and makes a comeback to the drag-strip later during the evening. This time around meeting up with another Challenger in the form of the Scat Pack version. This time the tire-squeal is more efficacious and the SRT Hellcat pulls off a tremendous display in the quarter-mile run, noticeably outperforming its preceding display.

The victorious occurrence clocked in at 12.39 seconds with an astounding velocities of 119.5 mph. The Scat Pack noticeably lagged behind, coming in at 14.96 seconds and peaking at 92 mph.
