Creating a Car with Disney Imagineers
Hyundai and Disney have joined forces and unveiled an exclusive Ioniq 5 idea at The Big Apple Motor program, to honor 100 years of memories with Disney.
Renamed the Disney100 Platinum Concept, this creation boasts a range of Disney-infused visuals thanks to the inventive visual concepts of Walt Disney Imagineering. The headlights and taillights feature Disney glimmer animations, as well as Gold Matte-painted Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition insignias. Showcasing wheels that draw on the iconic imagery of a particular mouse adored by all, it is a sure-fire showstopper.
Many years ago, Hyundai and Disney joined forces with a promotional advertisement for the Tuscon. Since then, their relationship has gone from strength to strength, with the Ioniq 5 making an appearance in numerous Disney movies such as Spider-Man.
Internally, the Disney100 emblem is raised upon the front chair headrests and center console, supplemented with embossed floormats. When ignited, an internal display of lights simulating a Disney-motif presentation on the middle screen and Disney music playing within the passenger compartment appear. Additionally, the sunroof displays etchings based off of the fairy dust theme.
Hyundai reports their automobile is a big part of a full scope promotional offensive that comprises advertisements as well as happenings and will showcase other autos from the Korean carmaker such as the Tucson, which will be featured in Disney promotions across 2021.
“The Hyundai IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept is a major milestone in our longstanding creative collaboration with Hyundai, which has involved many teams from Disney, including our Imagineers, entertainment brand solutions, and marketing teams,” said Rita Ferro, president of Advertising Sales at Disney. “It’s a great way to celebrate our Disney100 anniversary and bring brands closer to the magical experiences we create for our customers on a daily basis.”
It might be wise to clue in any Disney enthusiast that is coming up on needing a vehicle soon; there is expected to be a limited edition offering produced shortly.
The Ioniq 5 has exemplified Hyundai’s greatness, wherein it has become a go-to pick for EV aficionados and proven its worthiness with numerous accolades from both industry pros and buyers alike in the areas of style and security. We expect the same level of success to be carried over to the unveiling of the Ioniq 5 N, a 600hp drift vehicle.
