Hyundai Ioniq 5: Disney-Themed Platinum Model Debuts

Limited Production Model Coming 2023

The city of New York is abuzz with the arrivals of a plethora of new vehicles, though one model in particular stands out. At first sight, it appears to be a regular Hyundai Ioniq 5 – for the most part, that is correct. However, closer observation unveils a touch of enchantment from Disney, hence why it is rightly known as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept.

“The Hyundai Kona Mickey Mouse Edition is quite a name to live up to! While the concept car does have some special features, it’s not yet known if the production version will feature them all. However, Hyundai has promised to give us more information about the car later this year. The concept car features Disney-inspired wheel ‘styles’, a Gravity Gold matte colour, and Disney100 branding on exterior badges, seat headrests, floor mats and the center console. The enchantment doesn’t end there. The Disney100 Platinum Concept also has lamp screens that generate glittery animations across the headlights and taillights. When you switch on the EV, iconic Disney music plays, and a special startup animation on the interior screen presents the Disney100 logo with a shower of animated pixie dust. Glance up and you’ll observe even more “pixie dust” carved into the moonroof, and if you’d like a special light show, synchronized interior lights can provide it with multiple colors.

For those who may be dubious of what Disney100 entails, 2023 will be the centenary of the timeless, famous animation studio. Hyundai is engaging in the event by taking on an exclusive auto sponsorship role. Moreover, as noted earlier, a few versions of the Ioniq 5 concept car will be produced in coming times.

“It’s a first for Disney and Hyundai, as they have opened the doors to their design studio to collaborate on an artistic endeavor involving the automaker and Disney’s beloved characters,” said Angela Zepeda, Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai. “The Ioniq 5 is Hyundai’s all-electric flagship vehicle, and we are delighted to be able to offer a limited edition version that will provide a truly unforgettable experience for any Disney fan.”

The Hyundai Ioniq5 Disney100 Platinum Design shall be exhibited at the upcoming 2023 New York Episode of the International Automobile Fair, kicking off on April 7th.
