The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s latest flagship supercar, uniting remarkable performance, a mesmerizing form, and ensuring a thrilling driving sensation. Introducing this year as the replacement of the Aventador, its V12 engine has a capacity of 6.5 liters and when combined with three electrical motors, it brings out a prodigious 1,001 horsepower. Despite the impressive output of the circuitous powertrain, the true soul-stirring sound comes from the naturally aspirated V12.
This video posted by Varryx on YouTube provides five minutes of undefined sound from the V12 engine found in Lamborghini’s Revuelto model. We could easily listen to it all day, whether at low velocity, idling, or even on the Nürburgring track; each makes a distinctive throaty baritone that only comes from bulls built at Sant’Agata Bolognese factory.
The Revuelto boasts an imposing silhouette, evoking the angular look of the Aventador and sharing the twin grille of the Murcielago. It features a rooftop that is remarkably low-lying and aerodynamic, alongside the notorious scissor-style doors associated with Lamborghini. You can’t miss it rolling around and wherever it does, a procession is sure to follow. Undoubtedly, this car will bring attention to whoever takes the wheel.
The engine is at the epicenter of the Revuelto; centrally mounted it thumps out a consistent rhythm using an impressive 12 cylinders, revving up to a maximum of 9,500 rpm. Blessed with an 8-speed double clutch automated sequential transmission, acceleration is legally unbeatable with 0 to 60 mph achieved in shockingly quick 2.5 seconds, and reaching breakneck top speeds of up to 217 mph if given long enough straights.
Unlike its historical predecessors, the Countach and Diablo, the Revuelto boasts a softer edge. It features a more spacious interior compared to the Aventador, providing ample room in the trunk for daily necessities or a week’s worth of bags. Like the majority of cars on the market today, it has an integrated touchscreen with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Inside, there is a fully-digital dashboard, as well as a monitor in the front for speed readings and other performance data.
Taking its cue from the illustrious Spanish fighting bull of 1880, the Revuelto lends its moniker to Lamborghini’s upcoming supercar to be released before the year is out.
