Newly Released Royal Blue Shade Adds Elegance to Alfa Romeo’s 33 Stradale Celebration

History of 33 Stradale Nameplate: Significance of Blue Color

Alfa Romeo has designated March 3 as the “33 Stradale Day,” a special occasion dedicated to honoring the iconic 33 Stradale supercar and the significance of the number 33 to the brand.

In an effort to become a recognized holiday, particularly for Alfa Romeo, the proposed commemoration date strives to bring together fans all over the globe and their 250 organizations to honor their love for the Alfa Romeo name.

To celebrate this significant event, Alfa Romeo has also unveiled a fresh shade called Blue Reale (royal blue), which will be included in the existing selection of base colors for their renowned V6 sports car. These options include the timeless Rosso Alfa and the richer, more refined Rosso Villa d’Este launch color.

Although this marks the debut of the revamped 33 Stradale in Blue Reale, it’s not a new shade for the model. During the ’60s, one of the ten original 33 Stradale sports cars was painted in this hue. After being lost for years, it resurfaced in 2020 to commemorate Alfa Romeo’s 110th anniversary.

As per the report from Classic Driver, the exceedingly unique 33 Stradale in a majestic blue hue was initially purchased by the prosperous Italian aerospace magnate, Count Corrado Agusta. The car bore the chassis number 75033.111 and was fitted with seats identical to those found on Agusta’s helicopters of that era. Presently, it resides in the possession of a well-known collector from Switzerland.

Without a doubt, the Blue Reale alternative for the recently launched 33 Stradale serves as an homage to the iconic predecessor.

Without a doubt, the 33 Stradale is one of Alfa Romeo’s most coveted vehicles. It’s named after its production number (33 units) and represents a significant part of Alfa Romeo’s identity. However, it’s not the only thing that holds meaning for the company; in fact, the number 33 itself is deeply rooted in their history. In June 2021, exactly 33 months ago, Alfa Romeo celebrated a historic victory in the 1000 Miglia endurance race. This event solidifies the number 33 as an integral part of Alfa Romeo’s heritage.Unfortunately, for those who desire to own the exclusive 33 Stradale, all 33 units have already been sold, leaving no room for potential buyers. Nevertheless, this car serves as a testament to the brand’s commitment to creating exceptional and highly sought-after vehicles.Beyond the 33 Stradale, Alfa Romeo has other significant ties to the number 33. Notably, their triumph in the 1000 Miglia race after 33 years since their last win showcases their perseverance and dedication to excellence.Through their connection to the number 33, Alfa Romeo demonstrates that they are more than just a car manufacturer – they are deeply rooted in their past

In the annals of motorsports, 1933 stands out as a momentous year for Alfa Romeo. Behind the wheel of the powerful 8C 2300, the Nuvolari-Compagnoni team emerged victorious in the grueling Mille Miglia race. Simultaneously, Antonio Brivio dominated the rugged terrain of Targa Florio, also in the same car. In addition to these triumphs, the Nuvolari-Sommer duo claimed victory at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans.
