Lamborghini-themed turntable includes record with V-12 engine sounds.
The ongoing argument between vinyl and digital music formats seems to have no end. There are those who strongly believe in the rich, analogue tones of a vinyl record over the crispness of a digitally recorded track. Regardless of your stance on this debate, it’s hard to deny that the notion of a vinyl record capturing the roar of a Revuelto V-12 engine sounds quite intriguing.
Thanks to a partnership between Lamborghini and Technics, a new milestone has been achieved. Behold the SL-1200M7B— an innovative turntable crafted by Technics and infused with Lamborghini flair. The car manufacturer’s contemporary Y-themed design is showcased in red, yellow, or green options, while the slipmat features a striking Lamborghini emblem. Additionally, Lamborghini branding can be seen below the controls on the right side, alongside the traditional Technics logo.
The exclusive record included with each SL-1200M7B turntable is particularly intriguing. Pressed onto vinyl are the distinctive V-12 engine sounds from six different Lamborghini models, starting with the classic 400GT. Also featured are the iconic Miura’s V-12 engine, as well as the powerful 455-horsepower 5.2-liter twelve-cylinder engine from the 25th anniversary Countach. Moving forward in time, the Diablo’s impressive 6.0-liter engine contributes its unique sound to the collection. The record also showcases the V-12 engines of the Murcielago and Revuelto models. Adorned with a stylized version of a Revuelto wheel, the record is housed in a special jacket featuring Technics and Lamborghini logos.
The price of the Lamborghini-inspired record player has not been disclosed. It is crafted using the Technics SL-1200MK7 as a base model, with an original price tag of around $1,100. Considering the addition of Lamborghini design elements and a vinyl featuring V-12 engine sounds, it is reasonable to expect the final price to be somewhat elevated from that figure.
The production quantity remains unknown, but this item will only be available for a limited time. According to Lamborghini’s statement, orders will start on May 9th and the turntable will be exclusively sold until the end of June.
